Norman Bates grew up in
the Bates Motel. The motel was located in Sacramento, California and
was run by his parents. After his fathers death his mother, Norma,
took in another lover. Norman loved his mother despite the abuse she
caused him. When Norman found out about his mothers new lover he snapped
and poisoned them both. After he killed his mother he realized he
couldn't live without her. He stuffed her body with sawdust and kept
her rotting dead corpse in her old bedroom. Norman would continue
to run the motel by himself. However the secrets he would keep from
his guest would eventually drive him insane. From his insanity grew a split personality in which he would dress up in her clothes to try and act like his mother going so far to put on a wig to complete the outfit. He also became a peeping "norman" if you will watching women undress in their motel rooms and eventually killing them. |
